Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Jamaica in Tokyo. Our aim is to reflect the spirit of friendship between Jamaica and Japan and to build a bridge between two different worlds which though far apart geographically, have nonetheless found much common ground and mutual sympathy. It is striking that both Jamaica and Japan have such a strong cultural identity, and this has fuelled a curiosity on both sides to learn more about each others peoples and customs.

We therefore present a brief overview in English and Japanese on relations between Jamaica and Japan, along with useful information on Jamaica, with links on various topics, including Jamaican music and culture, history and geography, as well as on our sporting tradition and delicious cuisine. Jamaica is renowned for its natural beauty and warm hospitality, and so we invite Japanese travellers to consider a visit to our island in the Caribbean Sea. We present useful hints on travelling to Jamaica and on the attractions and superb hotels that have been enjoyed by over 100,000 Japanese visitors to Jamaica over the past fifteen years.
